compactifications and function spaces on weighted semigruops
chapter one is devoted to a moderate discussion on preliminaries, according to our requirements. chapter two which is based on our work in (24) is devoted introducting weighted semigroups (s, w), and studying some famous function spaces on them, especially the relations between go (s, w) and other function speces are invesigated. in fact this chapter is a complement to (32). one of the main fea...

We investigate, and prove equivalent, effective versions of local connectivity and uniformly local arcwise connectivity for connected and computably compact subspaces of Euclidean space. We also prove that Euclidean continua that are computably compact and effectively locally connected are computably arcwise connected.

In an earlier paper [4], the author sketched a method, based on the use of “Talagrand operators”, for defining infinitely differentiable equivalent norms on the spaces C0(L) for certain locally compact, scattered spaces L. A special case of this result was that a C renorming exists on C0(L) for every countable locally compact L. Recently, Hájek [3] extended this result by showing that a real no...
متن کاملCertain Homogeneous Unicoherent Indecomposable Continua
A simple closed curve is the simplest example of a compact, nondegenerate, homogeneous continuum. If a bounded, nondegenerate, homogeneous plane continuum has any local connectedness property, even of the weakest sort, it is known to be a simple closed curve [l, 2, 3].1 The recent discovery of a bounded, nondegenerate, homogenous plane continuum which does not separate the plane [4, 5] has give...

1. Introduction. The research reported on in the present note was motivated by the following Proposition (F), due to Ernest Fischer ([5], see also [4] for an earlier version; actually Fischer proved a more general result, but the special case suffices as a point of departure for our discussion) : (F) Let P denote a homogeneous polynomial in si, • • • , z k with complex coefficients. Then every ...
